Gentleman’s Dub Club & the Skints Preview

O2 Ritz Manchester //Wednesday 1st March 2023

What’s better than a night out in town to see one of your favourite bands? A night out in town to see two of you favourite bands? On Wednesday the Ritz looks forward to welcoming two of the nations favourite dub, ska and reggae acts Gentleman’s Dub Club and the Skints.

Having already taken in Portsmouth, Nottingham and Glasgow to critical acclaim MoshMag are very much looking forward to our turn on Wednesday night.

For the unacquainted Gentlemen’s Dub Club have been mainstays of the UK Dub scene since the release of their debut album, FOURtyFOUR. Ten years and six studio albums later when GDC cross the boarder from their native Leeds they’ll be sharing more than just a label (Easy Star Records) when they share the bill with London reggae punk outfit the Skints.

We cannot wait to get out on the road with The Skints! We’re such big fans of their work and doing a tour together is something we’ve been discussing for a long time – we’re so stoked to finally make it happen!

No strangers to a tour or two, the Skints seem to spend their life of the road much to the delight of their cult following. With more vocalists than Welsh Male Voice Choir we can expect more of their unique blend of reggae, ska and punk in what promises to be a high energy event.

The Skints x GDC love connection has been bubbling for years across the global festival circuit and in studios and reggae parties across London, but never with our bands on tour together, until now! We can’t wait for this long awaited and long in demand double bill to do some damage across a prime selection of our favourite UK cities!

We highly recommend you get yourself down there, tickets can be bought at LIVE – Gentleman’s Dub Club (gentlemansdubclub.com) and Live – The Skints, but if you cant make it, keep you eyes peeled for MoshMag’s review next week.
